Admission profile/requirements
The candidate must have the following profile:
- Academic qualifications (bachelor's or master's degree) in biology, ecology, environmental sciences, forestry engineering, land use planning or related areas;
- Solid knowledge of forest management, monitoring and inventorying fauna and flora and ecological restoration;
- Proven experience in managing environmental projects and implementing educational programmes;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Good interpersonal skills, maturity, proactivity and dynamism;
- Leadership and teamwork skills;
- High level of accuracy, sense of responsibility and organisational skills;
- Driving licence and own car;
- Flexible working hours.

Responsibilities
Preference will be given to candidates with relevant professional experience in the following tasks:
FIELD OF CONSERVATION
- Characterisation and assessment of the conservation status of habitats;
- Drawing up, implementing and continually evaluating plans for conservation and ecological restoration, forest management and biodiversity enhancement, guaranteeing their long-term sustainability;
- Monitoring and inventorying of fauna and flora;
- Construction of structures to improve biodiversity;
- Organising and promoting planting activities with native species, controlling invasive exotic species, cutting back vegetation and controlling weeds, pruning, etc;
- Preparation and management of databases, contents and reports resulting from sampling and fieldwork.
FIELD OF ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING
- Designing and organising events to promote good environmental practices and national and/or international scientific events;
- Development and implementation of environmental education programmes, adapted to different audiences and contexts;
- Carrying out technical and scientific training activities;
- Preparation of scientific, technical or educational content on environmental, nature conservation or environmental education issues;
- Preparation of materials to support environmental activities;
- Management and coordination of environmental volunteer programmes.
OTHER TASKS
- Collaboration in the preparation, management and implementation of national and international projects related to nature conservation and environmental education;
- Developing strategic partnerships with other organisations and individuals in order to strengthen environmental initiatives;
- Support for the preparation of applications for national, EU and other funds;
- General support for the Association's activities and projects.
