The BioLiving Association is an Environmental Non-Governmental Organisation (ENGO) based in the small parish of Frossos, in the Albergaria-a-Velha county (Portugal). Founded in July 2016 with the motto ‘Nature and Education for All’, we work daily to:
Promote sustainability;
Encourage environmental citizenship and public participation in the defense of natural values;
Boost the social economy;
Promote inclusion, peace and solidarity through education, balanced management of natural resources and the protection of nature;
Provide support in the areas of forestry, biodiversity and environmental education.
But, essentially, to demonstrate that nature belongs to all and is for everyone.
Although practical nature conservation and habitat restoration actions are a core component of our work, we believe that it is necessary to educate and train communities for sustainability and citizenship, both through non-formal learning and technical-scientific training actions in the field of nature protection and biodiversity.
BioLiving's operating model is centered on proximity to communities, municipalities, schools, companies and other NGOs, since we believe that by working in partnership and in first person with the various entities and populations, we facilitate dialogue and the search for solutions towards environmental education and nature conservation, and more effectively promote their involvement and interest in environmental issues.
